Not wanting to start an argument or anything, but theres no way the GT will weigh 3,200 to 3,250 lbs which is what it would weigh with that much weight lost. If thats the case, that means the base car would weigh around 3,100 lbs and I just don't see it happening on a car that has the same wheelbase and independant suspension.

Maybe I'm wrong. If so, that car will be fast as stink...hunting down Corvettes on the roads and laughing at the current Camaros. If I'm wrong you're more than welcome to PM with with a "I told you so"

The S550 car has lost 15" in length, and 7" narrower. The liberal use of hydroformed body panels and more aluminum and magnesium in the chassis.

This comes at a cost of roughly 10% higher starting price model to model.

I don't believe this will happen, especially with the IRS added. If ever its the case, this car will be the ultimate performance machine to own for the price.

What is bugging me is; how could the new Mustang be lighter, faster, cheaper than the new C7? If thats true, no Camaro/Vette for me anytime soon.

From what I read it will have a similar power to weight as the C7. That was Ford's goal. (GT Trim), no one knows what the Mach 1/GT350 will be like.

Rumors say anywhere from 5.5L to 6.2L 4v's 500-600hp. Again rumors.
