I bought a used 94 black v6 Camaro as my first car when I was in high school back in 2000. There was no end to the flack I took for getting a v6. It was a good car though. I drove it until the head gasket blew out at 175,000 miles. Needless to say, I didn't make the v6 mistake again...

1981, 69 SS and a 69 Chevelle. Bought my second one, a "71" in 83. Rangore, my 93 Z28 exactly like yours i still drive. Had 4 miles on it when drove away from dealership, and my daily driver in nasty weather. I bought 2010 in June of 2009 and she has 13,000 miles on her. The 93 has 105,000.

I bought my first Camaro private in November of 1971. It was a 69 SS396, 350 HP L34, close ratio four speed . It had 9800 miles on it. In 2005 I gave it to my son after having it for 34 years. It is still an unrestored original car with 76K miles on it. Here are some pictures of it.
The day it left for Michigan.

When did you get your first Camaro?

It is Olympic Gold, kind of a rare color. I have only seen about 8 Camaro's in that color in my lifetime.
The engine(L34) 35 HP is kind of a rare option. In 1969 they only produced 2018 with the L34 engine.

In 1985 I borrowed $3200 from my grandparents. This was the summer of my freshman year of college, so I was still 18. That money was used to purchase a 1969 SS/RS (not real RS) with a 396 in it (not original I don't think). Many engines and changes later, we still own that car.

In '90 I had an '85 Z28. Stop and a auto 305. Got lots of girls but don't if it was the car or the mullet. I loved that car but had to give it up as I couldn't keep my foot out of the go fast pedal. I had 5 tickets in one months span and all for over 85mph. Ive learned since then.

I purchased a used 1969 black 4 speed Camaro with the same green vinyl interior in 1975. I blew the engine then built a real strong 355 CI and put it in it. Used to run 10.5" slicks on the street. I tore the rear end off the spring perch pad on one side once, had to disassemble and re-weld/strenghten em. Nothing like running into a patch of rain on slicks I 360'd it a couple times. |

I bought a 1977 Pontiac T/A, black with the 6.6l, T-tops and the thunder chicken on the hood with my bonus when I enlisted in the Army at 17.
I felt like the king of the world in that car. A couple years later the wife wrapped it around a telephone pole in southern Arizona. Destroyed the car and I had to pay for a new telephone pole. Replaced it with a Chevy Chevette and somehow managed to not commit suicide. I was 43 years old before I was in a position to purchase something like that again when we picked up our 2010 2SS in 2011... Just picked up our 2015 1LE. |

Sometime around 1990 Was my first. 81 z28 had a 454/4spd swapped into it. About a year later I bought another 81 z28 as a DD. Few years later I bought the biggest POS 67 Camaro with a 327/pg. Sold it a few years later because I was tired of patching it up.
About 2003 I bought a solid 67 Camaro body and have since built a 383 stroker that puts out 520HP 518TQ mated to an M22 and a Ford 9" rolling 4.11 gears for it. She runs great. Now I just need to get the paint work done. Oh yeah, a few months ago I picked up my 2015 2SS/RS/1LE. I've been a Camaro fan boi my whole life it seems. |
