I am on my fourth new camaro in several years. All of them have had battery issues. My C6 corvette did as well. My cars arent my DD, so they can sit sometimes for weeks. I have had two of them be stone cold dead for no reason, within a 10 day period. Had the battery warrantied out on my 2015 ZL1, after a year. That one seemed as if it was charging all the time.

From now on all of my non DD cars are on a battery tender when not in use. So far problem solved. Also dont buy a harbor freight cheapy battery tender.

Voltage readings after sitting about 2 weeks at rest, door open, ignition on, starting, running. I think you kinda can hear me call it out step by step.

I guess im going with the 80% charge is OK theory for now.

This sounds like a strange trend. Have the batteries all been flooded wet cells?
I would consider upgrading to an AGM.
