Katech C5R chain too loose?
I know there will be SOME play with the timing chain, but should I be worried about my chain being this loose?

Don, thank you. that is very helpful.
https://imgur.com/gallery/DtCf8 Robertway's write up shows cam bolts require 26ft/lb, but your book shows 55ft/lb plus 50 degrees. I've already put locktite on the bolts and torqued them to 26ft/lb Should i go break torque and torque at 55ft/lb?! |

You used ARP bolts so follow their torque spec of 25 ft-lbs so 26 is fine. The balancer was easy, I used the ARP bolt without the washer to get it started because with the washer it was too short. Once I got it so far I put the washer back on and drove it home, no big deal. With ARP balancer bolt you just torque to 250 ft-lbs.
Thank god for ARP and getting away from wacky GM torque specs on those stupid TTY bolts. |

Another good reason to never woop on a cold engine, let it get warm.
