This is a “ban” on the 2ss and ZL1 orders in California and Washington starting in 2021. These models are no longer available (aka banned) for ordering due to the brembo brakes. People are still allowed to own these vehicles in the areas and even purchase them, this only bans orders occurring in those states.

It's not "Camaro's" only the SS's and ZL1's with Brembo Brakes... Can't be ordered after Jan 1, 2021 until the 2022 models come out (with different brake pads (less/no copper).

Yes, my post was vague and I did not specify. I let the article do that. I figured adding detail to an article that provided it would be redundant, but I guess my post was misleading. Sorry for that.

Technically, they aren't even "banned" you just can't order a new one after Dec 31, 2020 until the 2022 model year comes out... You can buy an in stock one off a deal lot after Jan 1, 2021 though... So hardly a "ban" by any stretch...

You CAN buy one, you just can't ORDER a 2021 1SS, 2SS, 1SS 1LE, 2SS 1LE, ZL1 or ZLE after Dec 31, 2020... Orders will resume once the 2022 models are released...

My guess is Chevy doesn't want to deal with reduced brake performance on those models by changing to different pads, so they want to sell with the factory spec pads... Personally, I couldn't stand the dust of the Brembo pads and changed mine to PowerStop Z26 pads after about 400 miles of ownership... No I get only about 10% of the dust of the OWM pads (I don't track my car)...

Its a Yahoo News article. Its probably fake news. If not I would leave the state of California like people are already doing in droves.

Because California doesn't have the resources yet to track you and what you do. Its coming though.
