Gm's Black and Red have always been a pain, I had a black 07 H3 and it was black, of course it was flaking after 100 K miles had to have it repainted. I did order the OPTI Coat Pro for my 2017 Camaro and did it myself. Hopefully it makes the Black paint last a little longer. I did notice that around the back fin it looks like there is some faiding around it about a !/2 inch x 1/4 inch

I have a 06 duramax black and it still looks amazing for being as old as it is and living in New York with all the salt . When a GM approved paint shop says the paint on my car is a nightmare thats scary

I'm sorry I've really busy with the holiday coming this week , i promise I will get some more pictures and video hopefully loaded to the site , so far the contacts that have been in touch with me keep it coming and don't stop the more noise we make the better! , I'm going to run it by my lawyer tomorrow on what we all could do since you all have contacted me it's something to ask please keep in touch

Yes it's an issue and it's been brought up many times concerning the MB color.
Unfortunately I don't think there is much to be done. The dealers have to be given the opportunity to fix the issue, plus I remember someone on here going through that process and he would lose the "warranty" on his paint forever.. Not a good answer.

So I think 90% of us have ignored it.. If you really want to see some subpar work. Check under your hood

Yes I have looked under the hood and yes that was me about losing the warranty, But I have moved forward and have a attorney that is in place the warranty is a contract that is binding because of the paint being a factory defect I don't feel comfortable with allowing a second paint with the loss of factory warranty that is a breach of contract as per the laws in place to keep manufacturers from screwing all consumers

Under proper light you might find out that your unicorn is just a myth, I didn't see half of the issues until proper lighting was used , in fact I just found another spot last week that I never seen before right behind driver front wheel at the bottom of the fender sun light sometimes shows all the flaws but for some sub par work is acceptable

Photobucket is acting flaky for me right now, or I would upload the photos I took yesterday in the sun, but I still do not see anything like what you have on your car. Working in Quality for the past 28 years so I know, and would not accept, sub par workmanship...

As soon as I can get Photobucket to work, I will add pictures.
