Ground Effects/Splitter/Side Skirt

Hey Community,
I bought my hot wheels and love it, but when I bought it used, the previous owner took off the GFX kit with no explanation of why (even has the original stock diffuser on it).
I still love the car, but was looking as some alternatives besides spending ~1.7k for replacement OEM ground effects in graphite. Still considering it, but pricey.

I came across this and it seemed like a good deal.

Couple of questions:
1- Are there other products you recommend that are awesome?
2- I'm not a gear head and would most likely as a professional to install this for me. How much should a dealer or shop charge to install this?

Thanks!

I have the extreme online stores ZL1 splitter, side skirts and ZL1 1LE wing and have been great. I don't have the carbon fiber ones, just went with black and then painted them. Good quality and a good price.

Always remember, when it comes to body kits, you get what you pay for!! Personally, I would stay with the gm pieces. You will have exact fit and finish! You will end up spending at least the other $1000 your saving on: fit, finish ,paint, and installation. Best wishes. Did I mention you also get a 12 month warranty with the gm pieces.

Check out the ACS Composite site, they make great quality products, probably the closest aftermarket to OEM. Of all the research that I did and from the videos that seen, these were the best out there. I got mine primered and a body shop painting them and installing them for $500. Another reason i chose ACS is that they have a undertray option for front splitter as well for more strength and durability. I have not found this with any other brand.

I just put on a GM 2nd generation ground effects kit; 84132661.

I priced it separately and then as a kit with the splitter, rocker covers and rear lower fascia. I have not installed the rear fascia yet, and might not??

I found it cheaper on the internet, but shipping was very expensive. So I checked the local dealer who was more expensive, but shipping was included so it ended up a bit cheaper than the internet.

And, I got to look at the parts before I took them home, important to me. They were perfect.

I installed them with the help of a friend. Follow the instructions closely and they fit perfect and look great.

You will need 3m Window weld polyurethane and 3M single step primer, or equivalent. I got both from Summit Racing. Not cheap but you do want to do it right don't you?

Reviving an old topic, but finally coming around to doing this!

I caved and ended up targeting the OEM package to have a sense of the "original hot wheels" package intact.

Just got a quote from my local dealer:
~$1900 for the part with shipping (price matched gmpartsdirect)
~$400 for labor (estimated 3 hours for install and includes tax)

I'll show pics when I pull the trigger and have it back to it's good ole hotwheels crush lookin' state.
