How much HP really?
I ve been to alot of car shows this yr and have seen V6 camaros with cia, exhaust, and ported tb and have seen people claiming anywhere from 330- 355 hp. I know different cia and headers and hi flow cats make different results, so here is what i have mrt v2.o exhaust, rotofab cia, and tb from rx, so what is a reasonable hp number for my camaro. I also have the lfx motor so no after market headers. thanks.

these numbers are from the flywheel but if you take the high end of those, the tb doesnt increase hp, just response time and the exhaust maybe just a little but mostly just your CIA so maybe 15 to 20 hp gain..correct me if im wrong guys. Im not sure what the lfx motor has for standard hp.
If you did CIA, headers, spacer, exhuast, you could prolly get around 30-50 of extra hp, using all NA mods.

I know that a stock SS does around 365 RWHP, not sure about v6's, but I'm sure it's close to 300 rwhp. Throttle body and exhaust would yield little to no power increases, 5hp tops.

The way I figure it, you should just estimate conservatively.
If the LFX is 323 hp at the flywheel then adding an intake and an exhaust will get it to 350. That's an 8.5% increase, which is a reasonable expectation for those two mods. |

This may be a cost issue, if you belong to a club sometimes you can get three passes for $75.00. Also most people wouldnt understand rear wheel HP and BHP.
The v6 is rated at 323 add say 15 BHP thus your at 338. The real key for this car is torq the big (TQ). Thats what puts you back in the seat. If you want a bigger number you could go SuperCharger or Turbo. Though that will set you back in the wallet. |

If I were to guess, I'd go with 330 HP. Also since when have they started doing dyno pulls in third gear? All the ones I've seen were in forth gear for a 1:1 ratio.

Stock RWHP in a V6 is between 240-270, depending on transmission and LLT or LFX engine. I have to disagree with whoever posted that above, because we've had a lot of conversations about this in the V6 section. With a CAI, you're not "around 350." 330 would be closer. There's a thread on getting 350 at the crank in the V6 section, but you need to be full bolt-ons, and I'm not sure if you can get there in an LFX without some kind of FI. The ported TB and axle-back exhaust isn't getting you a bunch of HP. Maybe 5hp max.

The value of these mods are the butt-dyno numbers.

Depends if you talk about Rear Wheel HP or not. At the Rear Wheeld it's probably 275HP or less. They are rated engine HP @ 312 for 2010-2011's w/ the LLT 3.6, and 330hp w/ the LFX 3.6.

Since certain v6 models came with a 118mph speed limiter (Based on the tire your car came with from the factory). 4th gear you'll hit the speed limiter and can't do a full pull.

Makes sense, but do they correct for the different ratio. It seems if not, the final numbers would be off (higher) than a 1:1 pull. Just asking because all the ones I've seen have been with the RS package.
