Not bad time for first time back to the track in ten years. Had a complete brake failure which sapped most of my confidence in the forth session. Then it rained all day Saturday

Going back to mid Ohio in October with headers wrapped and blanketed. Hopefully no more boiled fluid

You do know about this event?
You need to do a complete brake fluid flush/replacement with a good high temperature-rated DOT4 fluid, and I wouldn't put that job off. I was at Mid-Ohio the Monday before (with Autointerests and a few other members here, we ran the chicane), so I'm interested in your videos for comparison purposes. Feel free to download them. I did a flush with ate but think it was old. I believe it boiled the fluid in the abs accumulator. Its fixed now ran 7 pints of motul 660 thru it at the track. Forth session went good. Lesson learned don't use older fluid

Boiled fluid in the ABS unit? From engine compartment or radiated header heat?
I have a vested interest in this, hoping that I haven't been getting too close to ATE's limits with my wheels getting pretty hot to the touch after a session (though being able to run out toward 40 minutes without incident). I'd hate to think I was maybe only 10° away from boiling mine. Norm |

I think it was radiant header heat. Totally messed up the hood strut too

My ate was a little old to boot. I replaced it with motul600 and 660
