The C7 will be a front engine, rear wheel drive, V8 car.

5.5 liter 440 horsepower LS series engine.

Bank on it.

LOL V8's doesn't need to go away people just needs to learn how to drive efficiently.

and i do really agree that the camaro's need's to loose some weight.

Yeah I'm not the best example of city mileage myself I average about 12-13mpg (I get on it more than I should). But otherwise you can compare the LS3 and even LS7 to any other 400 & 500hp car and see that they are the most fuel efficient.

When I went with my friend to North Carolina to pick up a RX-7 he purchased

we both filled up before we left and by time we made it back to Nashville I still had a little over 1/4 tank, whereas he had to stop and fill up again and was a little below 1/2 tank. Man those 1.3L Rotary engines sure are thirsty!

Not bad for a 3,880 lbs, 426hp car!

Yeah, it sounds like a supercar eater to me sure its different, but honestly, the good times will always be the good times, heck theyre great, but things are changing and this route will put the vette on a whole new level.
Still think it should have a v8 in it though

look why not get rid of all the dam weight instead. I know people with ls3 corvettes that average 30mpg on the highway. The more weight the worse your gas mileage.

Just started reading this article so I don't know if you have been corrected yet or not.

Would a turbo V6 that is putting out the same power as a V8 sound the same?...Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, I'm just no car expert

Isn't this bogus anyway? We already know GM is tooling up for a new DI-V8.
