Does anyone else think this should be a rule?

If you have something for sale you must post a price!

I've been on other forums where if you don't post a price the post will be deleted.

This isn't an auction site.

Rant over

I have been on many many forums over the years . The price must always be listed .if it's not it leads everyone to guess and everyone starts low so they lowball ..then the seller gets offended by the offers and lashes back at the potential buyers , it's completely unproductive . If you don't know what it's worth do some research on what it typically sells for online or ask in a different thread of the items value . People shouldn't have to play guessing games

Absolutely. As stated, without a price, things can get out of hand when they don't need to.

I also think they should have pictures of what there selling. Dont just say they have for sale or will post pictures later/ upon request. Your selling it. Not us.

Excellent point.

Especially for those of us newer to the Camaro world. Call it ignorance or maybe even just idle curiosity, but I click on ads just to see what things look like and try and educate myself a tad.

In other sites I have been to, a seller must post a picture along with his username and post date. This helps prevent scams.

I agree with all points made above. Too much of a guessing game on the classifieds section here.

I assumed it was a rule, since most forums I've been on have it as a rule. But it leads to a whole bunch of "how much do you want for it" posts followed by "how much do you want to pay for it" posts. Or something similar.

Should list as much info as possible to lure in a potential sale. Also, this 'bumping' bullshit gets out of hand. If no one is responding, there is apparently NO interest..... get over it, and post on Craigslist, or have a garage sale.

I have a personal rule; no price, no shipping info, no pics listed -- I don't consider buying. Figure if the seller isn't willing to put the effort into these three simple things, how much effort are they going to put into properly packaging the item & getting it into the mail.

+100 to this
Im even ok if they post pics later but if you give nothing but a description I'll keep it moving.

like another post above...I believe you should also post a pic of the item with a piece of paper or something verifying your user name and the date of the pic taken. We had to do that on the G35 forum I used to be on. Not gona lie...I got got on here by someone posting the item I was buying but the pic came from the post of the person who sold it to them 2 years ago as well as the pic the vendor used of the previous owner. Thankfully I was able to make the item I purchased work with my car.
