My car is loud. Not many would be louder. (But it makes me smile.) I also think mine is one of the best sounding 5th gens I've heard.

"Loud" does not equal "sounds good." e.g., metric cruisers w/ loud exhaust, hondas w/ fart cans.
Loud does make a good exhaust sound gooder though...

I know of multiple cars much quieter than mine that sound great!

Kooks LTs, high flow cats, Flowmaster Outlaw 3" cat back.

Yea that's what's so nice about these LS3's, the stock cam has a pretty nice lope for being stock.

I have longtube headers, highflow cats, stock LS3 catback with no mufflers:

My priorities when I was looking for my exhaust were in order:
1) No drone
2) Interior volume
3) Exterior volume
4) Tone quality (raspy or not, low pitch or higher pitch)

A Camaro should sound like a muscle car. Not a European exotic, or an import, but not be so obnoxiously loud that you can't hold a conversation while driving down the road while still being loud enough that others know you have a V8.

For me, flight deck aboard an aircraft carrier during cycle ops is loud... about 130 decibels... anything less is mild... :P

Its subjective... like I couldn't stand 5 decibels of celine dion, for example...

As for what I've got? Flowmaster Outlaws, JBA HFC's, and BBK Shorty headers and its perfect for me. No drone... I just hate drone...

Here's a vid of just the outlaws... with the JBA's and BBK's, it sounds even better I think...

Stainless Power 1 7/8" Headers
Borla ATAK Catback exhaust

This car sounds damn mean! Can't wait to hear how it sounds after a nice cam.

It is mild on a steady speed, but kick her down and listen to her scream!

to my amazement a straight piped V6 fifth gen Camaro is way louder than my SS, though my SS has a much deeper, and different sound with LT's,high flow cats, and retro chambered cat back. the V8 is somewhat loud but not crazy loud, no excessive drone, just sounds bad azz!

I have the dual mode exhaust and it's plenty loud in and out.

This is my personal limit. I really hate it when vehicles (cars, trucks, motorcycles) go by at a really loud obnoxious sound. I hate crappy fart pipes.

I prefer a good "hey I'm a V8" rumble but you can ignore it of you want to.

NPP with fuse pull and ADM Performance Intake give me the sound I want. Subtle, powerful and low for normal driving but MUCH more aggressive at WOT. Exactly what I want.

Loud to me is when I can't hear myself think inside my own car because it's so loud. So far, with no cats and headers and cam and pass through mufflers, dare I say it's still not loud enough for me...

My 2015 V6 with SOLO CAT back was more loud than my SS with Borla ATAK CAT back...as far as volume. I love how both sounded.

Headers, catless, cam and corsa cat-back.
The loudest thing you can get with no drone and nice sound.
