You're not going to see the market flooded with any 2024 Camaros, especially the Collector's Edition. If anyone thinks that you'll be able to easily get one of these things, they're in for a rude awakening.

Wow, I see that! Really nuts, but it fits the bill with how they've been treating the Camaro. |

It is really sad to see the Camaro just stuffed in the corner like that like it was an economy car.

It really is, but for how many years has the Camaro been metaphorically "stuffed in the corner"? It's a testament to the capability of it at its launch, that it still holds up, in the metrics of performance, to this day. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but having had to go this long without any substantial performance upgrades throughout the entire lineup since the 2019 ZL1 got the A10 is a rough cut.

If the last ones for '24 are basically unchanged from the previous 6th Gens, I think that is pretty much what most expected anyhow. No one would have been surprised if they had just quit making them and said nothing at all. The good news is that at least they announced when it would all end, and what you can get for '24. "Last chance to get a new Camaro" would have been just as effective as "announcing the '24 Collector's Edition." |

I disagree. True, I wish there were more of a send-off. But many are correctly seeing this as the end of the ICE age. That added significance should have collectors grabbing these, even if just with stickers.

I hope you are correct about "collectors grabbing" rare ICE vehicles due to their future scarcity/value. Except I think that ICE vehicles/fossil fuels are being "regulated" off the face of the Earth. Moreover, the powers that be are not slowing down in their EV crusade and seem, in fact, to be accelerating it. ICE owners may end up being the owners of large paperweights or very nice examples of early 21st century art. |

End of ICE? Hardly. Ford just unveiled a whole new generation of ICE Mustangs… Ferrari and Porsche just got the EU to allow ICE cars running on synthetic e-fuel “gasoline”, changing the original plan of EV-only in 2035.

True, though that may not stop Facebook marketplace from slapping their cars with the ‘special edition’, 2024 or not lol

Don’t get too excited about e-fuel. It’s basically an effort to keep road track viable in Europe so Ferrari and Porsche can continue to participate in factory sponsored Motorsports. Think race fuel on steroids when considering the price of a gallon of e-fuel. Currently about $12/gallon with zero prospect of manufacturing to anywhere near the scale required for general public use.

There will be ICE powertrains for quite a while. But by 2050 you won’t see many simply because keeping a gas station open when 20% of the cars on the road actually need gas will be very difficult.

Before we enter another EV discussion I will just do a TL: DR of what to expect will happen. A bunch of people will not buy one no matter what and stick to ice and the EV guys will buy EV. Both sides will bicker back and forth for pages and get nowhere so lets skip that.
