Would only go C7 Z06 so need another 20K budget. (yes, you can pick up a Z06 with Z07 PP and required ground effects package AND PDR for around 85K right now - that's about 7K off MSRP.)
Callaway 610 horse 610 torque all for 55k out the door.

I test drove a Caddy ATS-V today. Test drove the 2SS a couple of weeks ago. I will be coming out of a Mercedes E350. I want my new car to be either a lateral move in the "nice" department in terms of quality interior and fit and finish, or at least not too much of a step down. But more than anything else, my new car has to be way more fun to drive and faster than my current car. I want a pleasing, strong sound out of the exhaust too.

The Cadillac ATS is a very interesting car. Visually, there really isn't anything else out there that compares. It is a good looking car. It is classy and well appointed. The V6 is powerful and sounds fairly well. It handles well. Visibility is better than the 2SS easily and the back seat seems a little more usable than the Camaro (but not by too much in regards to legroom. seat behind the driver will be unusable).

But for me, the V8 in the Camaro and the exhaust sound trumps the Caddy. The interior of the Camaro is nice. Maybe not as fancy as the Caddy interior, but not enough of a step down to be an issue. I do like that the cockpit in the Camaro seems more driver-centric, where the cockpit of the Cadillac seems like the basic layout of any run of the mill luxury 4 door sedan. In the Camaro, you feel that you are in a true sports car. You get all of the same electronic goodies in the Camaro 2ss that you get with the Caddy. In my opinion, the stereo in the Camaro sounds better than the top of the line Bose system in the Caddy. Don't know why. Just acoustics, I guess.

But the sticker on the ATSV is around $82. The 2SS is around $50k. I just don't see enough in the ATSV that warrants shelling out the extra $30k.

That's a pretty good idea

Any known issues with the 2010/2013 MYs?

Both. Drive both. ATS-V is sweet. Braking is phenomenal. Magnetic ride is also.
Camaro though. The interior upgrades are awesome. Handling. Driver centric. Clearly this car is focused on driving. It has not other purpose but to make the driver feel great. Get the Caddy if you want to cart a few people around. It also drives incredibly well. So, I see room for both. Although, if you have the SS (11LE or ZL1 are almost here) why not go for Cadillac CTS V-sport add the Trifecta tune and have a proper fast family sedan.

I went ATS-V because I had a CTS-V. By far the best car I ever owned. I loved having the power of a corvette yet the everyday sedan. I would have went that route if I had the money. Again I had a 1st gen CTS V before the became pricey.

Agree 100%

I drove an ATSV for a little while, than bought he Camaro that we turned into an ATSV Killer.

I am selling the Camaro with less than 100 miles on the odometer for 50k as we speak ,with 600 rwhp and the low weight it is the perfect car for the money.

We are buying another Camaro that's going to be 700 rwhp and it will have all the bells and wistles, even carbon ceramic brakes. Unfortunantly it will be selling for $70k+ but will hands down kill the new ctsv, atsv and z06 in stock trim for tons less money.

Be on the look out for it coming soon

None of the above. With the price of the C7 and ATS-V, I'd wait for a ZL1.

I had a C7 Z51 back in 10/13 and now own a 16 2SS A8. Does that answer your poll. Not everyone is sold on the C7 design. Just could not warm up to it. Sold it while it was still hot and didn't take a big hit.

Those were my choices and I took the ATS-V. Don't regret it at all. The turbo has a much better power-band than the normally aspirated V-8. It's plenty fast. I like it that I don't see one everywhere like a Camaro.
