Or.....we could go the other direction.

The LT4 is rated at 650 in the Corvette. 640hp in the CTS-V.

If you multiply 630hp * 6.46 you get 4,070 pounds.

Consider this:
2014 Camaro SS 3,860 curb weight.
2014 Camaro ZL1 4,120 curb weight.
ZL1 added 260 pounds.

2016 Camaro SS is 3,700 pounds.
If you add 260 pounds to it, you get:
3,960 pounds for a new ZL1.

Pretty damn close to my earlier calculations for 4,070 pounds with a 630hp LT4.

What do you guys think??? Are we getting into the ballpark here?

SO, they are saying:
Video on March 25th of 2016 which is the first day of an auto show.
Power is less than 6.46 pounds per horsepower.
0-100km in less than 4 seconds
Lateral Grip is over 1g.

I've got to go try to find that thread! I'm 6 months behind! LOL!!!!! See what happens when you have teenagers, start a new business, remodel your home yourself, try to keep your wife happy, work a full time job! You start missing all the good stuff in the car world!!! Damn it!!!

I really hope we see something next week. I would be very surprised if GM doesn't have something big for Detroit.

Just remind them that the 350 under performs the current gen 6 SS in all metrics but at the track. (It will be close when they finally do test them together though).

If revealed at NAIAS, would it be on the "Industry Preview" day (Jan 13) or on "Public Show" day (Jan 16)?

edit: nevermind, it's neither:

PRESS PREVIEW - JANUARY 11-12, 2016
Join exhibiting automakers and tier one suppliers along with journalists on a global stage for two full days of reveals, debuts and memorable moments. Featuring over 750 vehicles and countless interactive displays, NAIAS is North America’s largest and most prestigious automotive showcase.

Please note: NAIAS-issued media credentials are required for admittance.

I know there has been much discussion on the power < 6.46

If the car weights in at 3850 lbs and has the 640 HP of the CTS-V,

the ratio is 6.01 lbs per HP, which is LESS THAN the 6.46

The 2017 Cruze hatch was just revealed online. That gives me more hope of seeing the LT4 Z and/or 1LE on Monday.
