We ship to Canada for a few bucks LESS than what we are actually charged by USPS, and we don't offer free shipping to anyone, so you can't blame us

Not to mention that we are in a rural area, and ship everything else UPS which a big truck comes and picks up daily. For shipments going to Canada we actually have to get in a car and drive to the post office and drop it off, not to mention the paperwork and shipping process takes about 10x longer, and the billing is different which adds more work. I can't speak for other vendors, but I can tell you our shipping policy for Canada is more than fair to our customers, and we appreciate our Canadian customers business!

Our shipping price to Canada is actually pretty fair. We charge pretty close to what FedEx charges us. There are certain things you can't avoid and that is the Canadian Brokerage rate and the Tax.

You should see how much the shipping is to the rest of the world outside of the Western Hemisphere! Haha!

I use a broker. I order the part and have it free drop shipped to their warehouse on the border, they bring it over and I pick it up in town. This is still cheaper than buying in Canada. Bought my Supercharger and paid $267 for shipping taxes and brokerage to have it landed a few blocks from me.

This is true also.

The hardest part is most customers have come to assume the shipping fairy comes and delivers packages for free. The reality is, shipping costs keep going up, and customers won't accept anything but free which leaves us kind of stuck in the middle. The average CAI intake is $15-$20 to ship anymore for instance. Sure you can beat UPS up and save a few percent, but they raise rates 5% every year and get it back anyway.

It will be interesting to see how the whole thing plays out in the next few years. At some point you would think retailers will have to pass on the shipping companies added cost to the customer in some way.

United you stand,
Divided you fall.

If you all boycott the shipping companies they WILL fall,
And open up the market to new competition.

Tolerate this and you will be next.

You should take issue with the government regulation of imports and exports rather than taking issue with companies. Govt. puts up walls in the form of taxes, tariffs etc. Businesses do their best to find ways around those walls.

You could buy an ss that way you don't need to buy all these mods and pay for shipping to create the power you would already have.

Nice rant though.

I lived in Australia for a while. The cost of shipping even via an APO was $10 US a pound. makes a one pound box of Candy corn cost $12.50 and adds $50 to a 5 lb auto part you can't find locally. Make money from it. Gets your country men to pay you to have parts delivered to your US address. Drive the big truck over and pick them up, send them to them via Canadian post, charge an additional $1.00 over your cost (include the taxes and tariffs in your fee) per pound and everyone is happier. and you will have the money to pay for your mods.
