Keep that new battery on a smart charger. All should be good.

As long as it has enough juice to turn over a few times without having a problem that's pretty rad actually! I'm tempted to get one for my car but I'm not so sure I'd want to have to trust it.

Nice Irreverent. I've been using the 2015 model Braille for awhile now with no problems. Mine isn't a daily driver nor am I in a cold climate area but the car never hesitates to start even when it's been sitting a few days. Which mounting kit did you use? Post a pic!

I don't have any experience with them in a Camaro, but I daily drove one in a street/race car build for two years. I certainly didn't have any problems but I also had a trickle charger for that specific battery type that I plugged into every night. I am sure that didnt hurt my chances.
I agree that since I was in a cold climate, I bet I would have had trouble starting it w/o charger. But I thought it was a great little battery! I think the one I had was 11lbs or something like that. -Blair |

Still, it's a great weight reduction mod. I think on the C63, the weight reduction for this mod is 45 lbs wth the 15 lbs battery. |

I found a weight loss that actually saves me money. Since gas is 6.5lbs per gallon, if I only put 1/2 tank full of gas in the car (9 gal vs. 18 gal), it saves 58.5lbs and at $4.29/ gal, it also saves me $38 at the pump.
How about that for a win - win..... Not trying to be negative here to anyone but i race a dirt late model car and we manage our fuel load to optimize our weight. We only carry the fuel we need to make weight and not any more than that. It would be interesting for some of the guys who run their cars at the track to test the ET difference from a full tank to 1/4 tank fuel loads. That is a weight reduction of almost 100 lbs. Oh yeah, by the way, great forum!! Alot of good people with great info to share. Brian |

Most of us who drag race will do it with 1/4 tank of gas. Any less, and you sometimes run into fuel pickup problems on hard accelleration. I plan my trip to the track so that I arrive with just about a 1/4 tank. Enough for up to 10 passes with some to spare. In general, 100 lbs savings equates to 1/10th at the track (in the 12.0-13.5 range). A 25 lb battery savings adds up when you add in 50-75 on exhaust savings, 50 lbs on lighter rims, etc. Padre |

I like weight savings but i will stick with the little extra weight in the rear of the car till i can shave some off the front of the car.
