Most will say no on a 2016 MY ZL1. They never have released the high performance versions in first year.

I hope however that they decide to in order to compete for sales against Hellcat and gt350 (or 500). I think chevy would benefit with this strategy...assuming it is ready for the market. There are many that disagree with that, saying that Hellcat and mustang will not take any sales from camaro. But with the muscle car war hotter than ever...chevy should release is as soon as it is ready, imo.

OTOH, there is a list of MY16 Camaro engines floating around that does include the LT4. If that's accurate, maybe they are planning a MY16 ZL1.

I would expect the 2016 MY to be V6s and base V8. Maybe the 1LE package. The second year may be verts and ZL1.

Where did you see the 2016 engine list?

I would guess a more accurate list would simply be a gen 6 list...most articles use 2016 and gen 6 interchangeably.

I think it's since been re-posted to Camaro5, but there you have it.

I don't know what the ZL1 sales numbers are, but it had to be a costly project.

I think most Camaro fans wanted the Z28 and this time round we'll see Gen6 Z28 before a ZL1.

That's not official. Those are most likely the engines but we have no idea if all of them will be in the 1st year of the 6th gen.
