Water leaking from spoiler

Hey guys I saw a thread started on this topic a while ago but it was a bit of a dead end. So washed my car 4 days ago and I use a blower to dry the car and all the crevices. It hasn't rained and I don't drive in the rain. So today after my ride home I noticed water coming out of the spoiler where it attaches to the trunk lid. Now the only reason this concerns me is because for water to be sitting on the panel that long is almost a perfect storm for rust. Has anyone else noticed this? Maybe just needs a gasket replaced. Please share your thoughts

Use your rust warranty if you need it.

That's what I was thinking too. I might have to see what these cost and replace them myself. Hopefully there cheap enough that I don't need to go to the dealer and just get aggravated by the run around.

Man I was hoping for a funny video response from you, lol. But I would rather not have to rely on gm's rust warranty if I can prevent it

Mine does the same, even after using a blower water still comes out. I thought it was normal? Let us know what you find out!

Is the hard top spoiler and the rag top spoiler different? I leave my trunk open while I am drying the car to let the water drain and so far it has worked.

I clean the trunk jamb, but I haven't tried that. I'll have to give that a go.

I hit the three spoiler points with an air gun while drying and that takes care of it. If it doesn't for you, I would look into the why. Maybe seals are missing? Something isn't right.

I have experienced a similar problem on my vert, but the water comes from the SiriusXM antenna. The last time I washed my car, towards the end of drying it, I left my trunk open. However, a very small amount of water still came out the next day. I'll try leaving it open longer next time.
