Camaro v6 exhaust size

Hey, i am wondering to change my exhaust on v6 but... still thinking should i change only axle back mufflers, delete resonators and hpipe to xpipe? and stay with 2.25"? or go full 2.5"? it change some low end torque? cause of more free flow? going for 2.5" cost more and dont know if it is worth? pls help

Changing the cat-back exhaust won't gain you much if any power. 2.5" pipe is a benefit (or requirement) if adding a turbo/supercharger but otherwise will only affect the sound/tone a bit. Going from H-pipe to X-pipe may also change the tone slightly, but again won't affect power. High-flow cats/cat-less downpipes will add a bit of power/torque. Cost-wise you're best off changing just the mufflers.

Generally you only see a performances increase with an exhaust after you get a Tune. Aftermarket Exhausts will be replacing the factory mufflers so you do technically get a performance increase via weight saving since the factory mufflers are typically heavier than the new system. If you just want to change how the exhaust sounds then an Axle Back system would be a go to choice. Just be mindful if your factory exhaust has tips or not. If your exhaust currently has tips then you can get any V6 system that also includes tips, if your Camaro doesn't have exhaust tips, and instead has the "square" tips on the rear bumper, then you would want to get a system that is also labeled as such like the MRT Version 1 exhaust is. Below is a photo showing how the square tips look like.

I am very fond of MBRP's Black Series exhaust. They are priced very aggressively, and come in a nice matte black finish.

Not to throw feces here but in all honesty there are a ton of V6 guys that wish they hadn't touched the factory exhaust since the drone becomes unbearable with a lot of the aftermarket stuff. Those factory mufflers really do an amazing job.
