A 200 pound '15 Mustang weight gain confirmed by a Ford Salesman at Atco Tuesday night. Are there official numbers yet?

Just saying what he said. I hope its not true. But he was a car guy drag racing his 5.0 at Atco. Not your run of the mill sales person.

Yes, i would very strongly consider trading my ss for a new stang. I have to see it in person first and see performance numbers as well as what Chevy has up their sleeves for the 6th gen with the lt1.
I could give 2 shits about brand loyalty (never really understood that) being its gm, ford, toyota, or whomever. If you produce an affordable badass product I will buy regardless to which name brand it wears, or where its built. I am looking for a 2012/13 5.0 auto as we speak to add to my collection why? Bc I know in reality it kicks the s**t out of the ls3 (stock). My car goes in for full bolt ons, nice beefy cam, and a tune tomorrow and I still will have issues with a tuned and cai 5.0 with skilled driver. Last edited by mariojmoe; 07-09-2014 at 05:39 AM. |

You might even have issues with bolt ons L99 A6 seeing we have two members that have run 11.4s. That seems to be your thinking with the 5.0s (intake and tune only). As far as Internal Mods + Bolt Ons (stock displacement), L99 A6s take up 8 out of 10 spots on the fast list top 10. Rhino79 is on top with 10.4 @ 135 mph - with a cam, bolt ons, converter, wheels/tires. That should be fast enough to beat a 5.0 with an intake and tune only (you think?). |

Yes these L99's with cam and bolt ons are somewhat faster than a 5.0 A6 with just a tune, cai, and exhaust. Lets not talk cj or Boss intake, light suspension mods, and dr's. At that point my bet is the win goes back to the 5.0 So to answer your question yes a bolt on cammed, stalled L99 will take a tuned, exhaust, and cai 5.0. A win is a win but I'm doubting it would beat it that bad. |

Nope!
Its not all about speed and power to me! Even with more and more camaro's showing up on the road, I ordered my car just the way I wanted it. I waited for it to show up and Its mine in every sense of the word. I told myself, when I first seen the concept in Road and Track, that I would own one! Now I do! I want this car to become the family collector that I can pass down to my daughters. It may or may not become a collectors car, but to me it is. I truly hope my daughters feel the same way when it gets to them! Now, would I go out and buy a GT? Nope, the Camaro styling is way better in my eyes! And no, im not a brand junkie either! Cobra on the other hand, maybe!

Exactly! I'm going with an A6 (first for me), an aggressive tune, bassani full exhaust, headers, (long tube), cai, cj intake, and lca's plus a stb and calling it a day. Hoping for low 11's on streets with 373's. Look at what has to be done to a camaro ss to acheive this? Now dont get me wrong I love my ss and probably won't sell it but I know which one is the better racer. |
