Sub, amp, and Box combo(?)

Alright, I need you sound guru's help. I am looking to add some thump to my BA system. I am not looking for window or bowel shattering bass/boom but something I can feel/hear well enough with the rest of the music. I am planning on upgrading my speakers and doing a mylink conversion in the near future. I want to upgrade the stock BA amp with a Alpine PDX-V9 and run two 10in subwoofers. I am looking at sub-thumps two 10in enclosure and either of the following subs.

I am looking for subs that run 250watt RMS because the Alpine amp funs 500RMS either 2ohm or 4ohm. I know I can wire the subs up to run at 4ohm and run them from a mono channel amp. My biggest concern is about the enclosure and subs. Is it going to be too big, meaning too much free space inside for these subwoofers to operate properly? I listen to rock, country, metal, and little hip hop, rap, trance, or dance.

Thank you for the help and any recommendations.

I have been chasing down a similar problem... The volume that JL Recommends is not the same that most calculators recommend...
Sealed Box

Vas = 47.01 lts
fs = 29.38 Hz
Qts = 0.45
Qtc = 0.707

Vb = 1.13 ft3
f3 = 46.17 Hz
fb = 46.16 Hz

I too am interested in feedback.

Why not get a single sub? I run the pdx v9 to a single jl audio w7 10". Its got fantastic bass and uses very little space.

A single sub with 500 watts will be more than enough for any type of music. I use a 12" Boston G3 in a 1 cuft stuffed box with 600 watts @ 4 ohms, and it is removable if I need the trunk for something else.

I installed a Rockford P300-10 sub in my car and am extremely satisfied. There are some other threads on here from others who have as well. Its the best bang for buck imo and is easy to install with some T taps to the rear speakers.
