It all depends on how you want it to look. Like most GM cars; you get the basic for $48K. But when you add up the options that you feel you "need" or want; it is pretty high after adding it up. I will wait to see how it sells; and if it does not sell well; I will step in and buy one with all the options at a big discount! But if it is a "hit"; I will wait till it cools off before I go to the dealership to attempt to buy it. So, my purchase will start around August 2012 or later!

I would like the car to stay around the $50,000 mark but I believe dealerships are going to play hardball when it comes down to selling the 2012 ZL1, like see who is willing to pay highest in a bidding war for it, lol... If the car is a reasonable price, I may just trade my 2011 1SS for it... Heck, dealers in my area still have "well equiped" 2SS Camaros priced in the $43,000 range(hardtop), so my guess is you aren't going to get a Camaro ZL1 for under $52,000, just my guess..
I even looked at and priced out a 2012 Regal GS with 270hp/295tq and that car hit $39,xxx and some change with minimal options I wanted.. That was over what I paid for my 2011 1SS/RS |

Under $60,000 and I will have one. I have $2000.00 on my GM card and it was a pain in the ass to get it so they better let me use it. I have a buyer for my car but I'm waiting to see whats going on with the ZL1. I want to know how hard it is going to be to get one. At this pointe I don't care how much it cost. I was told from my dealer that they are going to be very hard to get. Is this true????

I think they want to keep it just under the entry level Corvette, so I'm thinking $49, 500.00. Talked to my dealer yesterday and asked when they would be accepting orders. Remember they originaly said 4th quarter of 2011, which starts in 27 days. He got his area sales manager on the line and he said Chevy wants a "BIG OPENING" for this, so they won't start taking orders until later November or December, still promising to have them out in April-May 2012. That's perfect timing for me. Let's see if it happens.

and around February there will be some awesome skiing in the alps... as long as I'm there. I'm afraid down Mexico way after they had me out they would just decide to take two. .

$39,000 What, that's more than a 2SS. And that does include wheels and premium windshield wiper blades.

I'm still struggling with 40k. At this moment I would say 50k as a median price and 55k would be my limit (tax(es), tags and delivery).
