Best Zl1 tires

This have been a problem for me for a while now , can't find an exact answer for it so i thought about doing a thread about it & i really admire everyone's help.

I want tires with the most grip in the market (price is not an issue) , I just dont want the tires to keep losing traction on hard accelerations , okay i know the ZL1 is a powerful machine but i currently have hancook tires & they are an absolute piece of shit (sry for my language) but these things keep losing traction and spinning crazy (Traction On) untill i reach 20 Mph and they are still spinning which makes me lose speed & acceleration times & the wheather is 40C (living in Saudi arabia) and the wheather is usually hot. even when im going 50Mph and i WOT the car slips for a second. This makes me annoyed most of the time.

I want a tires that will give me the best grip & makes the car takes off nicely without spinning & FAST. Thank you.

Note: Incase you are wondering my car is stock. And i just bought the hancook tires so this isnt happening cause they wore off or something..

Michelin Pilot Super Sport is the tire I keep getting told is the tire that will hook up, but they need less time to warm up.

If you track it, they suck! just so you know. I got 2 laps out of a set before they were hot and greasy. Never again! I run f1 gs2 only now....

In order of the ones I prefer and that I have tried, personal preference here so keep that in mind.

  1. Michelin Pilot Super Sport.......Best in all weather, Great Grip
  2. Good Year Eagle F1's.............Good Grip when warm, Suck below 65 degrees
  3. BF Goodwrich Rival's...........If you road course your car the extra tread in the sidewall is great so your tires last longer. Grip is OK but I'm 4 seconds slower on a 2 mile road course over the MPSS's. Still on my first set of these. Do better than the Goodyears in the cold, but not as good in the wet.

Try the Nitto NT01 if you want something to truly stick. The NT05 has a size only for the rear. The NT01 you can use on all four.

I was thinking of running 295 invo's up front and the 315 NT05R's out back.

This is what I have found through my research. Goodyears are better at the track and Michelins are better for the street. Michelin warm up faster and have more grip sooner than the Goodyears on the road. I will let you know when I get my set. I picked up a 2nd set of ZL1 rims for the track. Sam

What about getting a set of 19" wheels for the track and run the tires on the Z28?
