Any V6's with ZL1 grills?

Any V6'ers with the ZL 1 grill installed?

Post your pics if you got em.

Thinking of doing this mod but I haven't seen too many on the V6 cars...

Thx

Just the ZL1 upper grill on a stock 2012-2013 V6 Camaro.

You have to remove the front Fascia. There are a several threads on here showing how to do it. It took me about two hours total doing it by myself.
Prices vary.I got mine on EBay for $100 including shipping.

I bought mine from Phastek Performance for $90.00. You have to remove the front bumper. You have 3 screws in the wheel well, 2 piston clips, 3 bolts, and a few more bolts around the back side of the side marker light (x2 for passenger side) It's quite easy once you get the hang of it. Deconstruction took me 45 min. Probably because I had to run to the hardware store to replace my misplaced 7 mm "ratchet bolt"! Construction took 15 min. The grill was a little scary to remove because it felt like I would rip it all out of shape, but it's held on to the fascia by maybe 12 clips but they peel off one after another. Then you got these 4 gator toothed clips that are hell to remove because you need a thin screwdriver and pry it off without bending the teeth because they are HARD to bend back. Don't sweat it cause it's no reason not to buy. You'll maybe need a rubber hammer to put new grille on. The Zl1 grille only came with 3 clip holes for the bow tie so you'll need to fix that up a little. Or just leave it off like on my previous post. Lol

I had one on for a few months, I liked it but never really decided what to put over the zl1 emblem area.. I ended up going back to the factory grill. I think it looks meaner. Plus I bought a zl1 suede steering wheel and didn't want TOO much zl1 stuff on my car lol just steering wheel and sway bars now.

Ok, thx for the feed back guys.

I see phastek list these for $139 now. Guess the price has gone up.

I sent an email to emblemspros and asked for a custom made LFX badge to go where the ZL1 badge would normal go.

Dammit, your right about the price. I guess I had a brain fart! The grille came from GM Parts house. I tried to use a seller I trust and avoided EBay. Nothing personal but I just didn't want this to be a hassle where I didn't have to order and send back, order and send back, then wait a lifetime for shipping. I wanted to take the bumper off only once. You now have to figure out how to make the bow tie fit. The option is to cut a 4th clip hole out of the grille or trim off the bottom clip off of your bow tie. To be honest I had my Zl1 grille for about a month and haven't decided on the emblem for the ZL1 slot.

What did they quote you for the LFX emblem btw?
