Don't blame you on that one... That's a decent deal, and a good looking car!

I bought mine new in oct of 2011. the only issue was a faulty AC valve. I just posted this in another thread. $220. other than that, nothing in 12 years.

I owned a 1997 and 2000 Camaro, the former was a v6. honestly they were problematic. the 5ths are awesome, or at least mine has been.

text me if you are interested. all upgraded audio. only an intake mechanically speaking.

Both your car and that car are no longer depreciating. I wouldn't get it without the intention of keeping it a long time because flipping these older cars isn't as easy as simple trade in's. Especially a top condition car and not a Daily Driver high mileage one.
Frankly I love your car, unless you crave the acceleration I wouldn't. If you drive hard it's a huge step up but if you drive relaxed and don't get that huge thrill like I do from tire spin acceleration I wouldn't upgrade.

You already have a 5th. I'd either get a 2019+ 10speed 6th or go outside the box and get something that's not a traditional sports car you want.
Edit: I had my eyes on the low cost LT1s but they were more than I wanted to spend new, I'd add that to my short list of good used cars to search.

Below is an example, I'd want to offer $35k not $39k on this age car...

Agree with silver on this one, you have an amazing looking Camaro, and I wouldn't get rid of it just to have some more "ass" behind you! Besides, with all the stuff parts wise that GM isn't making anymore, the ZL1 items are getting scarce out there. Like he also said, if you feel the need for another ride, keep what you have and get something "out of the box" to drive that will be as much fun. Keep you Camaro! lol.

I don't drive the 5th gen, it's my wife's and it's a garage queen. I am looking for a daily and I'm not opposed to the right 6th gen at the right price. I need 3 pedals though, I drive backroads to work and traffic is not an issue. I'm probably being a little overly picky right now but when the right one pops up I'll be ready to pull the trigger.

Both of you are right of course..If it was any other color than black, it would be much harder! Doing the math, with what I want to do with my car and talking with Acutron, and what he has done with his, I do love the white and inferno orange so yep, as usual, you all give the best advice!

Update, I've had no luck finding the right 5th gen. I've looked at a few, everywhere from over 100k miles to under 20k miles. Nice condition cars are selling for more than I imagined. I have seen a couple that I've been watching go up in price recently. I thought about pulling the trigger a couple of times but both those sold before I got to them and for more than I thought they would. I've expanded my search to 6th gen and now have my eye on a '18 Hot Wheels, not the daily I imagined but what the hell you only go around once. I'll post some pics if I ever do find something that suits me.

It can take time...I started looking late July of 2023 and honestly I am not sure how many cars we looked at. But a lot...

Thought I found the perfect car in September 2023 and the dealership bought it back in December of 2023 because it was a POS.

Found a 2013 2SS vert in Feb 2024 that I am happy with but the wife wants the exhaust done. It has a custom job on it and kind of loud. Not for me but you know the saying.
