Epiphany in the outhouse.

As I'm sitting on the can reading the story and looking at the pictures of the new Mustang in Automobile magazine it suddenly hits me.
Why this car doesn't excite me at all.

Now I absolutley love my Camaro and I really enjoyed the other two I've owned, but I am first and foremost a car guy. Not just Camaro, not just GM, but of all things automobile related. I was looking forward to this new generation Mustang to see if it was still going to look like my idea of a muscle car. I go back to when a muscle car wasn't even a twinkle in GM or Ford's eye, so my opinion on what one should look like is pretty strong.

I'm looking and looking at the photos and then I hold the magazine out away from me and lightning strikes.

There is no wedge shape. Just flat, front to back.

Even our brick shaped Camaros look like they are moving even when sitting still.

I haven't seen one in person yet and this is just my humble opinion.

What do you other car guys think of the new Mustang?

I don't mind the front, but I don't like the back.
It's like a shitty ripoff of the old Porsche 928 back end.... Except supremely shitty.

I have not seen one in person so I will hold my final judgment until I do. But, from the pictures I don't care for it. The front end looks way to much like the Fusion.

I kinda like it in the sense that I think it is an improvement over the 2010-2014 design. Ford has a habit of making their cars flat as a board on the sides. The new one actually has hips over the rear wheels. It's funny, my wife is a Ford girl and she doesn't like it.

I think the front is ugly (oversized Fusion) and the back is even uglier (has been for years).

This doesnt look too bad, I still prefer the 2013-14's though because they look better to me and are lighter/faster still.

I think the new front is better. Still wouldn't have one though.
I already have what I want.

I liked it in print at first, then I started not liking the front end...looked like a swollen nose to me, but then I saw a dark Ruby Red model parked in front of a Ford Dealership the other day. It is much more impressive in person.....Beautiful proportions.Would I own one? Maybe, but I love my baby too much to care about Mustangs.

I saw a new Mustang (GT?) going the opposite way last weekend. Just from those few seconds it looked a lot better in person to me than the pictures I've seen. Pretty nice.
