Sorry your car got stolen. That sucks. My biggest fear, especially after reading all these threads. Even had that worry today coming from an all day depo in Downtown Houston to the parking garage after dark on a level with only two cars hoping my car was still there.

And manuals are definitely not a deterrent in every instance, but it's just a fact that most Americans don't know how to drive a stick, so it can be a deterrent as well for some thieves. Not the ones that are super sophisticated with their bullshit, but for the joyriding crowd and common street level punk it can help.

There's even YouTube videos of people carjacking folks and get in the vehicle and can't drive the damn car with a manual and then run away. They're funny to watch. Lol.
Not a fail-safe deterrent, but a deterrent nonetheless for the common thief. Just another layer of protection. The more the better.

Anyone have this OBD2 lock? I saw it in another thread. I'm interested because it's metal but site says no guarantee it works with other vehicles besides Ram trucks. But an OBD2 port is an OBD2 port, right?

Now to making a metal cover for the place they can drill out and try to get around the brake/clutch pedal lock I purchased for 80 bucks. Then to the OBD.

Thanks again.
You're welcome, glad to see it works for you as well. We need multiple layers, unfortunately, but this is a very good start.

It works and yes, these ports are nearly identical. They are a Ram/Cummins diesel shop and may never have checked it with other vehicles, hence the disclaimer.

Echoing the comments above, this is a nice product and the company also seems very helpful, I had some questions about shipping and they were great (although they did send me a sticker with some pro-Ram truck slogan that I will never use LOL). Even though their primary clientele is Dodge truck owners, the product fits the Camaro OBD port perfectly. I bought a spare key so I have one with each fob.

Yes works great just like others have indicated. For $10 get an additional key. The lock I am sure can be defeated, but will slow them down. I will be getting a dummy OBDII and put the lock on it, hide the functional OBDII else where like others have done.

Can get the same anti theft results by removing the fuel/ignition relay fuse. Car wont start or move without it. Just a thought for those parking on the street who don't have any anti theft yet.

Port lock shown fits tight and a great idea. A Mobilistics smart ignition relay”kill switch” is another and one I use. And as another said, disable the passive door unlock in infotainment. Even with the fob(or code if relay attack?)next to the car you cannot manually unlock the car with the door button.

I got a Cummins stick as well as a bag of popcorn, seems like a great company. I'll put the sticker on my Camaro window

I did the same and got the extra key. Geno's OBD lock fit perfectly. At first I thought it was loose but it's not the lock its the whole port is loose-ish in the dash. I now have the OBD Lock, a steering wheel club, the mobilistics starter lock and a faraday bag.
