I don't know if I would call it sandbagging. The Porsches don't have the benefit of utilizing a rear diffuser due to the new regs so they were hurting a bit in that department. I agree that they probably realized they couldn't hang onto the pace set by the two Corvettes but I don't really think they were sandbagging, ensuring their place on the podium might be a better way to put it. Of course we will know if they were in fact sandbagging once Sebring rolls around

Yeah, I wish I had a Higher resolution - The Photographers website is on there - maybe he sell Posters.

I don't think Porsche was Sandbagging either, Corvette just had a better car!

The BoP's came out. The Corvettes get 10Kg Added Weight, Porsche sheds 10Kg

Additional BOP:

Corvette gets a smaller restrictor

GT gets less boost

Looking forward to Sebring! Should tighten up the field a bit. Though that restrictor might be what really makes them slower. I could see the Porsches doing much better at Sebring

Well seeing as how Porsche is shedding weight while Chevy and Ford are adding weight and losing HP, the Porsche better be more competitive lol

If the Fords thought they had a tough time at Daytona Sebring should really shake them up

Who won their class at the 24 Hours again? And then at Watkins?

I'd say the FGT did fine for its debut year

Ford did a masterful job of sandbagging this season especially before LeMans but in the end Team Corvette prevailed to bring it all home.

Still find it amusing that it was so blatantly obvious that Ford sandbagged LeMans along with a few other races and they still couldn't win the championship with all the BoP help. Not to mention, the GTLM class is supposed to be for production cars only yet Ford still hasn't released the GT to the public yet. They had to petition the IMSA to let them race it.
