If you have magnetic ride control. What else do you need to add?

Awesome! Yeah I'm curious how this changes the setup we have now.

I had the full hood - which he did amazingly, full fenders, full fascia, rockers and partial doors, mirrors, head lights, door cups.

Here are two pics of the seams. (Right and Left). I think the reason I am so unhappy with the seam, is that I could probably live with the seam, but when he trimmed it, it is not straight at all. One side looks very good and the other side, not so much. He said he had to do it three times because of the way the kit is designed. it is basically short and does not reach the other seam - so it has to be stretched on each side and of course wrapped around the top and bottom. Again, I could live with the seam, but I am not happy at all about the gap/unevenness of this one seam (driver's side).

Am I just being too retentive? The rest really does look beautiful - even all of the tough curves of the front.

My install had a different break point than that but I have similar problems in other areas plus a few spots where the film didn't take a curve right and bubbled up. My only recourse is to carefully trim relief cuts into the film. For as much money as I spent on it I would have thought it would have been perfect but even the best installer is going to tell you that no job is 100% perfect and they're not going to be ripping the film off just for a bubble or a non-straight edge. My film already saved my paint once from somebody bumping my front end I guess backing up in a parking lot so it's been worth it so far even though I know it's not perfect. If I wanted perfection the car would be in the garage and never come out but I don't have another car so...

That's all the parts needed to swap out as well as have to get the 1LE MRC calibration flashed to the vehicle.

Thank you

So when you add this. What's the difference suspension wise to the zl1?

2017 50th Anniversary Edition 2SS Camaro Convertible in Nighfall Grey Metallic, 2 tone leather interior. Every option checked.

Pro:
Seats more comfy than 'vette / more room inside.
Easier on the back getting in an out of.
Nearly as quick as a Corvette.
Much cheaper insurance.
Exhaust sounds a little meaner, and a bit louder (even with top up).
Convertible.
Infotainment system faster / much more responsive, capacitive touch!
Generally easier to live with as a daily driver.
Calipers are colored to match interior / exterior accents (same color as the Corvette I sold)

Cons:
Not a Corvette.
MGW hasn't competed their shifter for Gen 6 Camaro's yet.
Won't get 30MPG at 80MPH / noticeably more thirsty.

Other:
Corvette guys don't wave to Camaro's (I waved to everyone, even Mustangs/Challengers/old muscle)
Camaro guys mostly wave.
Mustang drivers still ignore me.
Challenger / Charger drivers wave a lot (still)
Not really thrilled with matte grey stripe down the middle of the car. It's just a vinyl decal, most likely will remove it and leave DSOM stripes.
6 speed vs 7 speed... definitely different.

Overall, I ****ing love this car, really. It's what I should have gotten 1.5 years ago, but having a Corvette didn't exactly suck, it just wasn't what I wanted out of a car. When the thrill of "omg C7!" wore off, I started looking again. This deal was perfect.

Sorry for some potato pics, they're from the dealer, it's been raining up here so have two pics I took at the dealer, and theirs.

That's my car in the background in this pic

Awesome review and Welcome to Club F1FTY!!! My dad got me hooked on Camaros with his 67 RS in Marina Blue. After his '76 Rally Sport he went to Corvettes so I appreciate the comparison reviews. Enjoy your ride!!!

Not sure yet. Need to test spring rates and swaybars sizes.

I have the differences in spring rate posted in the suspension forum between the SS and the 1LE.

I just want to make my suspension exactly like the zl1 track package. After my warranty is up I will make my motor likenor better than the zl1.

The sway bars are the same part between 1LE and ZL1. The toe links (as long as have MRC) are same part number across all 3 (SS, 1LE, ZL1). The MRC calibration is different between 1LE and ZL1. Not sure about the rest.

Well, it's looking like this won't be done until tomorrow afternoon. :( the tech I asked for was busy with other cars so he got the front suspension done but needs to do the rear, then call into GM for the authorization code to reflash the magnetic shocks, then align the car.

Hope I can get them in and on before the May 20th Camaro Show at Rodgers Chevrolet.
I haven't received the bowties yet, but we'll see when they do come in if they are close to the stripes.

Hope that helps

I was originally looking at a C7 myself and for almost the same "PROs" you gave I decided to go with the Camaro. The F1FTY made it an even easier decision.
Thanks for the comparison view.
