Rear Spoiler
Is there an option available for the rear spoiler on the 17SS? Ordering a '17 and not a big fan of the SS spoiler. I like the one on the '16.

Both the 16's and 17's have the same spoiler options available to them.
The SS (of both model years) come with the wing spoiler with the 3 pillars that attach it to the car. This one is standard. When ordering, you get the Blade Spoiler option if you like that better. There are also a few handful of aftermarket options available now. ACS has a neat one. |

there are other spoilers from GM/Chevy, but you most likely will need to order it from the factory, or do it yourself after you buy the car You can go

Still, I assume you can ask the dealership just not to install the blade. Or maybe even ask to get the LT decklid as a standalone option as a custom request. Since it sounds like you aren't too familiar with the available spoilers, here are some photos: - Stock SS stanchion (photo of convertible with black lamps) - Stock LT lip spoiler (car with the red chevy badge) - LPO blade spoiler (similar to first photo, but with stock lamps) - 6LE aftermarket spoiler (grey car, one that looks insanely tall) Last edited by RenegadeXR; 07-17-2016 at 04:36 PM. |

Anvil spoilers are always popular. That one looks very balanced with the rest of the car's design. It mirrors a lot of lines on the trunk which is very cool. The only downside I see is that it doesn't integrate with the 3rd brake light very well like the GM blade spoiler does.
The 6LE spoiler looks too attention-grabbing for me. It's obviously an answer to people's complaints that the GM blade spoiler is too low, but it carries things off to the other extreme I feel. Based on pictures, you're literally doubling the height of your decklid when measuring down to the trunk opening. It claims to have active aero characteristics, but as a rule of thumb, that usually doesn't make a difference in normal driving. |

Does the LT decklid spoiler cover the holes from the SS stanchion spoiler? I an considering a swap. (One of the comments above indicates the decklid spoiler is "compatible" with the SS stanchion spoiler). Haven't been able to find the answer to this question searching this forum. Thanks.

No GM blade spoiler covers the forward SS hole.

Agree, I was looking to get that spoiler but other angles make it look not as great.
