Rotofab Big Gulp clearance...

On my 2023 ZL1, I noticed after installing my RotoFab Big Gulp. The drivers side hood near the front corner was slightly raised a bit higher than the passengers side hood. I called RotoFab they said it shouldn't be an issue of clearance. So I removed a bit of the material where it looked too high and it closed better, but not perfect. But, recently I had my air intake off and had the hood closed. I noticed it was perfectly closed and look symmetrical to the passengers side. So I guess I'll remove a bit of the material and see if I can get it to close better. Didn't know if anyone else had this issue.

Same issue here and I've heard of many others having the same issue. I think Rotofab needs to fix their manufacturing process to make it just an 1/8" less tall in the airbox. There's also a bolt that needs to be replaced with a shorter head on the hood right where it crosses over the rubber seal in the Rotofab box but even with that, my hood still stands up slightly over the airbox.

I actually got the wrong big gulp, was for an ss with lt4 blower. Hoods are different and it had a good 1/8-1/4" gap. Hacked it down quite a bit to get the hood to close right, surprised to see the correct big gulp still has this issue.

I'm pretty sure the mounting hardware on those is adjustable, too. You could drop it down a little bit as it sits in the car? (I Know you shouldn't *need* too, but sometimes sh*t happens....)

No, there's no wiggle room, it's a VERY tight fit.

My big gulp fits perfect with no issue. There must be some other reason why this is wrong for some.

Could be the year the part was manufactured or production tolerance issues. Same reason why Anderson Composites had 1LE wings that fit, then suddenly they didn't for almost a year before they caught it.

Good point it has happened before.

My Regular RotoFab has the same issue on the drivers side of the hood too but not enough to be concerned about for me anyway. The gap between the hood and fender is slightly more than on the passenger side.
