I'm so sick of ...
I am SOOOO sick of people making fun of me for washing my car. Geeze, I only do it once a week. It's black, it's a daily commuter, I want it to look nice. Stop making for of me for it!! Anyone else get this from people?

I almost get to wash her once a week sometimes I'll skip a week... and just about every time I wash her someone walking by will say something like "Do mine next." or "I'll bring my car over in a minute." and I'll kindly reply (smiling but saying to myself "oh brother") "Sure, line 'em up." I get the "nice car" compliments also so it offsets the silly wash my car too comments.

Whats wrong with that? I think theyre just jealous thats all, my mom has a 2010 hyundai accent and she washes it once a week lol i think most people wash there cars once a week too. Some people just dont like riding around in dirty cars.

I've always been a washer... once washed my Silverado three times in one day (kept running into unexpected events, like a freak rainstorm, or getting splashed by passing vehicles). The Camaro gets it three times per week, on average. Nobody hassles me for it, none of their business anyhow. But, I'm a pretty big dude... not too many people want to test any waters that might piss me off!

I get it from my wife. I just tell her I can't help it I like to keep my stuff nice, we did spend a lot money on it.

Great! I am so glad I'm not alone. Someone called me pathetic for wanting to wash my car today. I was like, I paid a ton of money for it and I get so many compliments, I am going to keep it looking nice. You like reading books or going on walks, I like washing my car. It's nice to be outside, it's great exercise, and it's fun. People are just jealous.

1x per week is about right... my car sleeps in the garage also, so that helps.

I wash my car at least once a week also, nothing wrong with that! Now my wife doesn't know why I don't wash her '09 Escape. I tell her that it is her car, going ahead and wash it. A couple of days go by and she goes to a car wash!

There's nothing wrong in taking a little extra pride in what you drive. Most people are just jealous and don't have the energy to keep up their car, on top of everything else.
