16000 miles

Just wanted to say hi and Happy New Year. My wife has 16,000 miles on her ZL1 and 3 oil changes. I lost one of the nuts in the frame that hold the underbelly pan on still have 14 bolt and 2 clips holding it up, any thoughts? In my opinion not the best system. Looks like I may get another 10,000 miles on the tires before they need to be replaced. Food for thought my wife felt like the car was lifting and not under control at a 138 on the interstate then she discovered the sun roof was open, shut it and all was good. Gm needs to have a big warning sign at what speed to shut the sun roof. LOL Still getting 20.7 mpg on her 200 mile a day drive to and from her job. Love the car!

Nice. Good to see someone driving the car. Cars like this are meant to be driven. Not weekend warriors or garage queens. I'm at 63000 miles and going strong.

I wish I could drive it daily. I have had it a week and only 167 kms, all scary kilometers because of the weather. The temps are low and it is like driving on ice. I cannot hook up from 1500 rpm, it is crazy.

Come summer she is going to get a workout. Nice write up, btw the only reason I got 6spd is because my wife only drives auto

Our ZL1 hates the snow, it will not go it just sits and spins. Rain is not much better, the rear end kicks out under full throttle. That is life. When we reach 100,000 miles we will upgrade to 700 plus HP, that mils stone should be in prox 2 years from now.

The Goodyears on this car have a risk of damage in temps below 40, so it's definately not even a cold weather tire. I can't imagine driving it in snow. It's scary enough on cold streets.

Got lucky when I first picked it up last month, in NJ...had a warm spell and got to drive it for a bit. We had 1.5" of snow last Saturday, but the trucks salted the roads as though 10" came down, so there is salt everywhere...and with no rain anytime soon in the forecast, the salt isn't going anywhere. It's supposed to get up to 50 next week too...sucks so much, I really want to be driving my Z!

not gonna happen. those speeds are illegal on the interstate and I'm sure they don't wind tunnel test with the sunroof open

I would be driving mine A LOT more if I lived in a warm weather state! Spring/summer can't come soon enough...winter is pretty dreary here (everything has that dead look to it...the cold temps and short days don't help much either).

glad to see someone getting in the 20's. Mine averaged 19.2 on my trip from the dealer in michigan to new york with minimal city driving mixed in.
