PURE speculation. fun
WE KNOW that the camaro will feature the LT1 V8 and all of its amazing innovation. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE ? 350hpV6? 400hp3.0TTV6? Or maybe a 2.0turbo4-280-300hp? Id love to see some if not all be optional in some way ...even if I dont see the need to have a v6 ...id be nice for the rental fleet and the moms.

I would love a 4.0 TTV8. I would jump on that above everything else.
I would also like for the new Camaro to have a rear hatch, similar to the Corvette and older Camaros. It just makes the car more useful as a daily driver. This would alleviate the complaint about the small opening on the 5th gen. A stereo that you could replace without losing all the functionality of the stock infotainment would be pretty sweet too. Bose stereos can suck it. |

It's a Dingledarm. It's there to dampen side fumbling. If your marzelvanes fumble too much they can cause total protonic reversal. It gets ugly from there. This is really the biggest problem with the new Camaro. That and the tri-pronged blivot.

I'm still not sure if we will see the turbo 4cyl or not. GM may not follow the mustang with their ecoboost. I'm thinking they will stick with the 3.6 and maybe up the power a bit. We will see soon.

What if instead of following Ford with a turbo 4 they add the 3.0 TT as an option above the base 3.6 V6. The 3.0 should be a less expensive engine than the 3.6 TT in the ATS-V. What would be the added cost of the 3.0 TT over the 3.6? |

YES definitely. The LT1 is so flexible I dont really see a need for it but it would be cool to see the opportunity for these engines

If there ends up being a higher output LT1 the 3.0 TT won't be as close to the V8 and it might make sense to have another option. If I were going to buy a new Mustang I would definitely consider an ecoboost, but if there were a TT V6 Camaro I might completely forget about the Mustang. |

A 3.0TT would be great for world wide production because of taxes/emissions & would make the Camaro really shine against the 2.3L Ecoboost.

Honestly, I think all we need to do is to look at Cadillac for the answer to the engine choice options.
It's going to be the turbo 2.0. N/A 3.6, and LT1. They almost have to put in the 4 cyl for the CAFE standards, and this is the model that will have the composite suspension pieces to keep weight down so it's still fun to drive. Now, for fun speculation, I would really like to see t-tops make a comeback on this car. Prefer a targa, but in reality there would be no where to store the top in the car. Don't get me wrong, the Camaro makes one of the best looking convertibles out there, but I prefer the look of the coupe and love open air driving. Sunroof just doesn't cut it though. Oh, and a 7 speed manual with rev match please. |

I got my fingers crossed for an LT4 with the 7 speed manual with rev match
