Will only Camaros be made at this plant?

And all VINs be for them only? Unlike 5th gens.

Not sure what you're talking about with the VIN's. Only Camaros get Camaro VINs.

As for the plant, it's pretty rare for a plant to be for a single model these days. Especially rare for a GM plant. The Camaro will be built alongside the Cadillac ATS & CTS.

Sorry, I thought the VINS were mixed with both makes on the same line. Didn't think about the separate lines, Thanks!

This link has a good explanation of how VINs work (http://www.vinguard.org/vin.htm)

And its kinda crazy how flexible assembly plants can be. Not only it isn't a single model per plant, or even a single model per line, or even a single model per shift. At some plants there can be 3 or 4 different cars (sometimes very different) on a single assembly line at the same time. At Detroit-Hammtramck for example, its not unusual for an Impala to be followed by a Volt followed by a Malibu.

Kinda like this:

A red Volt following a blue Impala. I'm not sure if those two cars even share a single component.

I think only Corvette has its own exclusive production facility.

Didn't know multiple cars were on the same line. Seems confusing to the employees!

I'd say things have advanced considerably....Probably better to mix in different builds instead of completely shutting down a line to start another...

Or, as in days gone by, we still could have just this...lol...

Hard to believe Ford made over 1 million T's in '23 and '24.These are '26-'27's.

I think Lordstown OH is Cruze only.

Same when I was in the Orion plant, mix of sonics and veranos. Most plants are like that.

The important part will be if they maintain "F" as the body style designator. Technically it isn't an "F" body in Gen 5 either so that should likely continue for Gen 6.

No, I'm sure they'll be making the Firebirds there too. Just a little humor from an old-timer.
