Coilovers like this:

Technically one could call this a hybrid as it keeps the stock MC damper but uses the coilover kit to adjust the ride height.

Thought I would give an update to for the OP. This press release for Chevy Performance parts says they will have springs for MRC on early '16. I'm assuming other aftermarket companies will follow suit too.

Thats great news, because I was almost considering not getting MRC just because how good this car will look lowered.

You can lower a car with MRC a variety of ways. I assume you are talking about aftermarket lowering springs. Just to my knowledge as of yet there is no way for the computer to compensate for the different springs, it will decide as if the spring is oem. Depending on the make and rates of spring they still ride better than 9 out of 10 aftermarket "coilovers"

You read that wrong....

The SS kits are not compatible with vehicles equipped with the available Magnetic Ride Control. They will be available in early 2016.
The kit for the SS without MRC will be available in early 2016.

After re-reading that it looks like you are right. It could read both ways but my mistake, maybe I just read what I wanted it to say LOL.

I know on other GM vehicles with MRC people are doing it successfully and I'm sure it will be done on the new Camaro as well.

I know many people with ZL1's lowered via springs and had zero issues. I don't think it should be any different with the next gen.
