I'm hoping to run the car again soon before any mods, It might sound unrealistic but it think I could get a 11.999 out of it with proper prep and DA. I just want to keep M6 crowd entertained with all these crazy fast autos its just not fair, I get they are faster and more consistent blah blah but I still love shifting and having something to challenge myself on a street night.
My better 60's were all at the highest rpm possible, but that was with DRs.

And I so agree with you about the challenge. My friend Pat Keeps building GT autos that go 10 seconds and then gets bored and buys another Mustang and does the same thing. And now is ready to do it again with Coyote #4. His 2017 GT that runs 10.4 with 3,500 miles is for sale @ $36k.

On the other hand on many nights I go home disappointed vowing to come back and give it another try. Now that my bolton M6 SS can do it my goal is to run under 12 seconds in just about any air. Working on that. My formula for consistency now is a shift light, 4,800 rpm launch, and NLS. The shift light was a PIA, but so worth it for me. Am I cheating? I guess I am cutting corners.

I agree, high rpm launches don't do anything for these cars, it's al in the clutch action...but yes, try to get that bone stock 11.99!

I tried what I think is launch control a couple times now. Does it really hold engine speed at ~4k or so? That seems higher than optimal. I just want to make sure that's actually launch control working and not some other limiter.

Yeah, it seems to be around that rpm. But, I only tried it once so far...

1.9 60ft on stock tires using the LC. It was my first pass and surprised the shit out of me when it took off.

Can you comment on how abruptly you lifted the clutch on that pass, tire pressure, prep procedure (burnout), etc?

Thanks.

Decent burnout in the water box, probably 4-5 seconds, once I see smoke in side mirror I let out, I think it was 25-26psi in rears or so.

Pull up to the stage, let clutch off floor a little bit, not enough to move the car but close enough to the friction zone. At launch I slip clutch out smoothly.

I haven't found the LC to help me at all, even when it was bone stock. Now with my power, I just forget about LC and play the clutch game lol. How fast you let it out all depends on the track and DA. I haven't got the times these guys are posting for 60', but I haven't had a proper tire on my car for running with my power range.

Once the ProCharger was on, launch control is useless. The car blows right through it like the traction control. The math in the ECM can't compute with more power.
How much do your slicks swell? I've been thinking about going this route, but worry about the size I can run due to the swelling nature of the slick.

Only time I've had mine on the dragstrip was Camaro Fest and it was hot. Launched around 4K rpm and slipped the clutch a bit. Sorry the pic is sideways. Not sure if there's a way to fix that when posting as an attachment. I was using Photobucket, but they've ruined that.

Post that in the V8 1/4 fast mile list sticky thread, more SS 1LE's are needed on there...12.3 is a good time stock.

Post it in here: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=427506

Does the SS bog on the launch like the manual ZL1? Guess those guys are having software problems.

If it does it just means you need more RPM, and if that don't fix it, more power haha. Mine never did though, not when it was stock.
