Similar experience here. Talked to a couple of dealerships in ohio, that the price was the price. Went to a dealership with stock....in tennesse and bought my car for 13% off and they were thrilled to sell it me.
Dave white chevy on the other hand in toledo.. they were ready to deal. They just sisnt have the car I wanted.

He probably got it when they were offered the 20% off rebates last year. Some people were getting 2ss's in the low 30s by haggling some more after the rebate. Haven't seen anyone get near that low lately.

my experience with a ZL1 1LE today

For the last 3 days I have sent e mails to most large dealers across the country.
More than half the time they got the model wrong I am searching for in my e mail response.
Then they call and want a telephone number. I insist on an e mail as my work limits me getting to a phone.
This morning I put my receptionist on the quest. She used google to find the largest dealers in each region and state and best voted quality dealer across the country.
In 3 hours she had 3 dealers with 9 allocations and 7 cars not sold or reserved yet.
Three of them were Summit White and the others did not know their colors.
One dealer thought he would have an i allocation in one month so in reality I found 8 cars available.
My dealer sold me mine for MSRP and it is being built now and should be at the dealer in 6-8 weeks according to him.
Hope this helps.
Becky called my receptionist at the end of the day but I had already bought a car and I think her allotment was all sold.
Most in the business feel they will be more available as the year progresses.
Good luck everyone.
Gary

I'm assuming you are talking about the out the door price? You should be able to get a 1ss for the upper 30s all in at this time of the year. I negotiated to around 35k for a 1ss in California two weeks ago. Ultimately ended up getting a fully 2ss for 39.5k plus tax, msrp was 48k. You can wait until october/November when they are clearing out stock, in Ohio you will absolutely get the best deal during this colder month.

Metro Vancouver is no different. The only price reduction you'll get here is cash price incentives from GM which adds up to about 4K off MSRP.

I can only echo what others have said about buying from Becky.

Did you call her yet?

Nope I said new. Gotta check autotrader every day across the country and then work them down. I still have the receipt if you don't believe it lol

I’m confused. You said “even with GM discount”. There is no negotiating with the GM discount. If you’re trying to use a GM discount, that’s the price you pay (before any currently available rebates). Perhaps you should go in without mentioning an employee or supplier discount and see what happens.

I haven't seen the Lansing Grand River assembly plant empty of Camaros since they started building them. This time last year the plant lot had thousands. Right now the number is under 50. Don't expect to see awesome deals like they had on the 16's last year.

Nope. No 20% rebate. MSRP was $44k. Secrets Secrets

I made that mistake...but right now I'm battling with a dealership. Becky gave me one hell of a deal! but now Greenwood Chevy wants to match it.

I bought my Camaro in Ohio last August and got a great deal and it was exactly what I wanted. The first time I went to the dealership was to test drive the car and drive it home. I talked to several dealers in Ohio and the surrounding states mostly through email and sometimes by phone. I even talked to Becky but she did not have what I wanted. I waited until I got the deal I wanted and only then I went to the dealership. Use the internet to your advantage.
