The GT was slower than every V8 Camaro from 93-04 and then again in 09 and again from 15-17.

Well it technically wasn't his first post. He has been here before. I see his account is suspended.

Indeed, for some reason it allowed me to logon with my usual username and make a post, as I was then prompted that I had two usernames, the one which I posted on the previous page now being banned (duplicate).

Couldn’t remember my original username but I got it now. Mustang has always been slower comparing GT to SS. I think they may have had a winner if they had kept their previous price points, but I’m pretty sceptical with the drastic price increases considering the SS/1LE will still outperform the GT “equivalent” packages.

It is not a story. No GT was faster than any V8 Camaro from 1994 until 2002 and then for MY 2010. If you have proof otherwise then please post it.

GT to Z28 (4th Gen)...the GTs were always slower.

If that were not the case, and looks were more even like last Gen....then Ford would be hurting BAD.
I think that the looks can go both ways. When I got my S550 GT I thought it was great looking. And I thought it looked better than the Camaros...until I saw the ZL1. And the reaction I got from my neighbors and everyone else who saw the GT and my ZL1 would suggest that the ZL1 is the better looking car. My neighbor literally walked up to me with his mouth wide open when he saw the ZL1. My other neighbor, back when I first got the GT, said his wife liked it but it looked a little girly. I had a bus driver pull up to me at a red light, open his doors, and ask me about my ZL1. And in the first week of owning the ZL1 I had one cop follow me up the road and another cop follow me, pull up next to me at a light, and stopped to talk to me about the ZL1. I drew a crowd of people at a gas station at like 2am. None of this ever happened in any car I've owned. Even at the track I drew a crowd. But it is a ZL1 and not a standard SS so maybe that was more of the appeal...

That what has been frustrating this gen. Never the right match. SS-1LE vs GT350 or C7 Z51 vs GT350R...
I think I read over on M6G (back when I was a member there) that Ford does not allow their cars to be officially raced by magazines and such unless they give specific permission. They would not even allow the Ford GT to be tested at Nurburgring or something to that affect.

Fact that. Coyotes turned the tide on the 5th gen Camaro. I think the 2018 GT will turn it back into a drivers race same transmission. But now stock A10 GTs won't be seeing many, if any stock SS M6 taillights. Just my opinion so far.

Hope I see a 2018 GT at Atco today, Mustang v Camaro!

In 2011 that was the first time since the 3rd Gen F-Body that the GT was faster than the V8 Camaros. But it wasn't by much. The 6th Gen Camaro again took a serious leap and the Mustang has nothing to match the Camaro on the same tier. 2018 looks promising. It'll be at the very least a good and competitive match up.

Why are you just going to leave it here? Are you just trolling? Nothing better to do?
