Car wreck...totaled?

Long story short was in a wreck on 08JUL16 and finally getting to the end of this half ass repair place.

My insurance company will hopefully send an inspector out early next week to check the adjusted price. The final repair bill is $23,186.15 dollars and $5,064.42 more then the insurance originally quoted.

Does anyone think the price is high enough to get it totaled?

Car: 2016 2ss with mosaic black, dual exhaust, mrc, sun roof, nav, low gloss tires plus 20k miles

I obviously want it totaled out and looking to see it is realistic for the insurance to totaled the car from other people's experience.

Thanks for you input

That's a Insurance Company call. Like Balls and Strikes. It should be close.

sounds like they already invested $23k in repairs, they will not consider totaling it now.

Nope, there is a threshold percentage and if your company's estimate doesn't meet that percentage (e.g. car is a 35% total loss but their threshold is 70%), they'll repair it

I'm not sure I'm following.. So, the repair shop has already repaired it, or it's just taken this long to get a quote? If it's been repaired, I don't see why they would total it out after work is complete..

The repair shop claims they will be done with the car next week. I say claim because it has been 4 1/2 months and not done yet and they have missed every deadline they gave.

I talked to my insurance several time with my concern regarding the issue and they told me that even with repairs if they hit the totaled limit they will still total it. I had the manager email me stating that they will.
