WISH I HAD MY ZL1 BACK!

I was not planning on selling my ZL1 as I was going to take it back to Andy at ADM to do some more mods. I had a time setup to take it to him but I had to cancel due to my property taxes going up over 7 grand so I was going to have to wait until I recovered from paying those and take it to him for the new mods. I was at home and got a phone call from a guy wanting to know if my car was for sale.I told him I would sell anything I had if the money was right. He asked what all was done to it and I told him the HP of it and that was all it took! He made me a offer I could not turn down,so I sold it to him. Now the whole point to this is I bought a 2015 Z/28 and I just am not happy with it at all. Now it is a super nice car don't get me wrong but the ZL1 to me is the best Camaro ever built! The Z/28 has it's purpose as a track car and I am sure it really shines in that part. As a owner of seven 69 Z/28's in my life this new Z reminds me so much of those cars. Everything about it except the big cams I had in the 69's is so close you would think you are driving a new 69 camaro! The Z/28 is not as "refined" {I guess that is the word you would use} as the ZL1 is. I also think for the money you just cannot get a better performance car than the ZL1,hands down! I have the Z/28 parked in the garage and it is for sale as I have ordered a 2015 ZL1 and I can't wait till I get back in one. Waiting for it really sucks!

Dude I tried to steer you away from that Z/28, I knew you were not the canyon racer type from the get go and that car was built for corners and nothing else. But at least you have another ZL1 on order....It will all work out in the end.

Z/28 is not as refined, and I totally agree with your comments. It is a track machine, and I plan to use it as such. The ZL1 is like a Camaro Cadillac in comparison to the Z/28.

Hey Jess,I know you did!! I will recover though and as soon as I get it I am calling Andy so he can do his magic on it! I have taken cars to a shop and had some performance parts put on and have always had to take back for some adjustment on something. When Andy did the work on the ZL1 I had it was perfect when it left and ran like a rocket! I did not have one thing wrong with it,not one.To me that speaks loud and clear on the work he puts out on these cars. I had thought about buying a vette but the camaro ZL1 will win out just because as I stated earlier that for the money it is the best buy out there.

Well enjoy the 28 while you have it and post a picture of the new Z when you get it.

Wow.. the man with the means chooses the Zl1

Cool, What was it in part. about z28 that pushed you over ? Why not supercharged the ls7 ? Then you'd be king.

Are you asking why I do not like it? I think the ZL1 for a multi purpose everyday driver is king. It has got to be the best high performance car I have ever owned. I have had lots of cars with hi HP numbers and none compared to the ZL1. I also like to go in a straight line and not track a car. Now if I lived close to a place where I could take the Z/28 and drive it for what it was made for I would try it and see what that is all about. I just like the drag racing better and have done it my whole life. As for putting a supercharger on it I have read where that is not a good idea so I will not do that. I know there is a thread where someone has done it but I just do not think it will live long. I will get back in another ZL1 as soon as production starts again and I will be a happy camper!

When does production start again on the '15 ZL1's?

Thanks,

Looking forward to seeing what you have done at ADM when you get the new car. I enjoy reading those threads. Welcome back!
