Greetings from Vancouver Island

Hello all!
My name is Mark Speed (hence the user name).
I've just recently ordered a white ZL1 1LE which I am going to take possession of in approximately 4 long months.
I immediately searched out and found this forum and I'm looking forward to learning lots and sharing my own experiences with this car. I was introduced to it in Road & Track's recent "Performance Car Of The Year" feature and ever since I could not get it out of my mind.
I've been auto-crossing, running time-attack and hill-climb events in a heavily modified Mazda Protege5 for the last 15 years. Now that I am in my retirement years I decided it was time to up the ante and have some tail-out fun. It's going to be a wee bit of a learning curve after being so accustomed to the FWD and it's unique handling and torque steer!
Can't wait!
Anyway, that's my intro.

Hopefully it won’t take 4 months.

There’s a great ZL1 Facebook group called, ZL1 Exclusive.
When you take delivery, you can join the group,
Quite a few in the PNW.

I’m just across the sound from you on Whidbey Island, waiting for my ZL1 to arrive, it was built 2/19

Also planning on a trip to Area 27 in penticton later this year, when they have an open track day.

Mark, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
