SCCA Track Night In America - Charlotte
If anyone is interested in a track day, the first track day I've found at Charlotte Motor Speedway is April 12th, SCCA's Track Night in America. Did it last year and it's awesome!

It's $175 for 3, 20-minute sessions. Can choose Novice, Intermediate and Advanced levels and I have a code for a $25 discount if anyone is interested.

Exceptions: In addition, vehicles that were manufactured since 2006 that fall into any of the below categories must meet the criteria stated above for factory or aftermarket roll over protection: - Vehicles equipped with factory V8 or forced induction engine - Vehicles modified meaningfully beyond the factory performance potential (examples: engine swaps, aftermarket forced induction) Note: Targa and T-Top vehicles are classified as "hard tops" and do not have to meet the terms and conditions of the convertible policy. You need to come to the Road Atlanta Track night on 4/25! I'll be there and another camaro6 member is bringing his hyper blue SS 1LE! We could get some killer Red, White, and Blue shots and chase around my buddy's GT350!

I haven't done anything like this. Do I need to get track insurance for an event like this? Do I also need to do the track prep outlined in the performance manual for the 1LE?

I strongly recommend insurance. It isn’t always you, but other drivers and conditions that can cause a crash. Hagerty is a good go-to. About $200 for $40k.
