2018 Camaro VS 2018 Mustang

https://youtu.be/tBFRA-JHcL8

Edmunds comparison.

Mustang with an automatic and Camaro with a manual.

Basically nothing changed. Mustang easier to live with, Camaro the better driving car.

But a few notes.... Mustang was on the all season tires, auto vs stick, and why in the video was the Camaro changing between the SS( without the NPP) and a ZL1?

^Looks like the video editor confused it with the ZL1 they were reviewing at a similar time.

Exactly. And ultimately why I bought a Camaro over the Mustang.

If you look closely. They used 3 different Camaros.
At the beginning a Redline than at the Start one without NPP, at 4:50 and 5:17 a ZL1, 5:29 the Redline, 5:38, 6:23, 6:43 again ZL1 And at the end again the Redline.

I bought a Camaro because my Camaro Club would disown me if I switched to Mustang plus I just like the feel and ride better. I married into a GM family and this is my 9th Camaro so would be unnatural to change horses/pony cars at this late date.

So SS 6-speed, Vs GT A10? This guy got the opposite as rentals (SS A8 Vs GT 6-speed)
https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=524981

I say read both and compare.

Myself, I was forced to shop used, and the 2 Mustang V8 autos I found were butt ugly - and my searches were 250-300 miles (depending on website options) PLUS all the goodies (A10, video dash, etc.) are new for 2018, but Camaros had 'em in 2016!

But I did find a 2017 2SS w/16K miles ~288 miles away.
Well, I was in a new 2018, but they screwed me on internet price, then GM CC points were scrubbed (I thought they'd be there when I was ready) and it was grey w/o sunroof. Good enough for me, but I warned the salesman they were going to eat that one - nobody would buy it in Summer without it. He still wouldn't deal. I saw it go off Cars.com in October, at a lower price than they bait & switched me for!

We were already ~130 miles from home - in Glen Bernie MD, so I decided to drive another ~140 miles to Richmond VA.

Despite owning an '82 Z28, '85 & 87 IROC-Z's, I was looking with an open mind after 13 years in Mitsu Eclipses and 15 in Infiniti G35 & G37.

Also: Why doesn't Mustang have a ratchet-type auto shifter, like Camaro, Challenger, G37 (Q60) Hell, even my niece's Altima has one! In the Mustang, you're stuck with the paddles, others give choice...

OTOH, why does Camaro not offer adaptive cruise control - like Mustang & Challenger, and G37?

OT3H why do some ratchets have pull back to upshift, push fwd to downshift - like BMW, Mopar, Mazda, Hyundai (which I consider the correct way) and some like Camaro, G37, etc are the opposite. Any way to change it - like switching 2 plugs inside the console?
