Quieter Tire than the noisy Goodyear F1 Run Flats ?
I must say I am not a fan of the 245/40ZR20 OEM Goodyear Eagle F1 RunFlats.
I find they give a noisy ride with plenty hum that I don't care for. I'm fine keeping a can of fix-a-flat in my trunk and dumping the RunFlats when they wear out. I always bought Hankook S1 Noble2 for my previous car and liked how grippy and quiet they were. I live in Florida so I can run summer tires all year. Hankook also makes a V12 EVO2 Summer tire which may be even quieter than the All Weather Noble2. Does anyone have any advice for the "best grip and quiet" option at a decent price? On TireRack I am seeing: SUMITOMO HTR Z III DUNLOP DIREZZA DZ102 HANKOOK VENTUS V12 EVO2 YOKOHAMA S.DRIVE KUMHO ECSTA PS91 Of one more thing.. The Goodyear OEMs have a treadwear rating of 500 so how are people only getting 15,000 miles life out of them? The summer only tires have a treadwear ratings closer to 300 so does this mean the quieter summer tires will last only 9,000 miles ?? Thanks for the advice |

PS4S would be amazing.
Also we have a dedicated tire section on this site.

Wow, I just looked up those Michelin pilot 4s on tirerack..
Not including shipping and mounting: $1,158.60 for 4 Michelin pilot 4s $578.92 for 4 Hankook Ventus V12 EVO2 I think I'll try to pick the best bet from 5 choices I listed. All 5 choices come in at 1/2 the price of those Michelins. How do I move this post to the tires section ? |

A few months ago i grabbed a set of Nitto Motivos for my 2LT. Have been a great set. Love'em. Their all season but are nice and quiet and have a nice grip. plus a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty. My goodyears were bald at about 22,000. No burnouts or hard driving.

The Michelins are expensive, but they are amazing.
Out of those choices, I might go with the Hankooks, as that's the only brand I have experience with. I've read the DZ102 are not too safe in the wet. s.Drive are nice, but going on a decade old now.

You can't go wrong with Pilot's but they are pricey for sure.

These OEM tires are noisy. I had a dealer loaner 2018 v6 Camaro and was way quieter and smoother ride, I forgot to look but what's on them?
I'm at 10k on my OEMs and they look good, I bet I get 15k out of them but looking forward to something else. |

About 1/3 the price of the Michelins. IMO the Michelins and Goodyears are over priced. I quoted the Hankook price because I used them in the past and was very happy. Michelin partnered with Hankook many years back to make tires and I was told Hankooks are using very similar rubber formulations and tech as Michelin. The Hankook S1 Noble2 was the quietest Ultra High Performance All-Season tire I've ever had. |

We put Bridgestone Turanza Serenety Plus on my wife's Solara vert and she loves them. They're quiet, and have very good wet and dry grip. These aren't max-perf-summer tires, but should be fine for the v6 under DD use. Kumhos and Perellis we had on the her car before these didn't last for snot and had equal or higher UTOG ratings. UTOG ratings are not standardized across brands, so a 350 on a Michelin might equate to a 500 on a Goodyear. IMO if you use UTOG ratings to compare within a brand, you won't be disappointed. I put the General G-Max AS-05's on my 17 SS and way quieter and a lot more enjoyable to drive the run on flats that came with the car, I replaced the stock tires at 1600 miles.
