I think it is a very useful feature, I use mine every time I am in my car, should it have been a little larger, definitely.

I took the Dremel to it. I cut off the 2 end humps. The S7 fits like a glove now. I've I were to do it all over again, I'd put a piece of metal where I want the cut to end, thus protecting the uncut surface. I have a few circular marks.

The only people that will ever notice would be a backseat passenger who is looking for it.

I don't anticipate that

But, I will be on the lookout for a replacement. If I find some, I'm going to pick up a few. One to have as a complete original, and 1 or 2 to perfect my cut

He has a iPhone so wireless charging is going to be useless for him.

Congrats!
I may try modifying mine with heat. I have a Harbor Freight plastic welding tool which should allow me to do some reshaping. I'll let you know how it goes.

I got mine the other day, it fits, a little tight. I actually cut one of the bumps on one side and it fits better now.

I got around to putting mine in today. It’s quite a bit thinner than the original.

It’s the easiest install I’ve done in a while.

There’s certainly no need to remove the bottom seat cushion to prop up the center console. It’s more work to remove the seat cushion than it is to use a plastic panel tool and gently push the seat cushion back to lift the console up.
