3rd time doing yesterday about the same...5:51 and a 141lb clean. So we kept the Friday score.

This event hurt her...the clean part. 304th WW now. Can’t have anymore finishes like this if she wants to qualify for the regional masters.

Well, I heard from my dr office today that I will definitely need surgery for a distal bicep tear. They were thinking it was just a slight tear as I have no pain, no issues in day to day life stuff, and minor weakness pulling. Today they call and they are like "wow, a lot worse than we thought and surgery is required". Not what I was wanting to hear, but it is what it is and I will recover and keep on going.

I have a trainee coming back from a similar issue. It happened to him in Nov, and I have him back pulling 600 lbs now. I know what I have to do, but dang it listening to my own knowledge hurts sometimes...lol.

We are bummed because Monique can’t do a ring MU.

Thinking tonight will be a redo of 17.3 (the squat snatch and chest to bars from last year).

Man I was so wrong.

Should be a really good event for Monique. She needs it....sitting 450th. Needs a top 100 finish at worse. Her last Diane time was 5:10 but that was in Jan of 17.

And she has no problems handstand walking.

I did 18.4 12 hours after getting home from drinking. Workout itself was fine: no issues with the new handstand standard, and I don't mess around with DLs. My PR Diane time is somewhere in the mid three minute zone, but it got stretched to 7 because I didn't want to risk missing a hspu by kipping so I broke them into smaller sets of strict at the end. 17 reps at 315 in two sets--10 and 7.

I then spent almost an hour on the floor of the bathroom trying to decide if vomiting was going to happen.

Monique made it back to the 2nd round of the heavier DL and got in 2 reps. So 123 reps total.

Going again today in a few hours. Hoping to get at least through the 2nd round of the heavier DL's.

She's (and me too really) have been bummed since last weeks workout. Her not being able to do a ring MU (mental issue for sure) has greatly hurt her chances to qualify for the masters qualifier.

But we will see. There's a lot of people already that were ahead of her that can't handstand walk.

Eye is still on next year as our ultimate goal for Monique. Just have to keep working and get over a mental hurdle or 2.
