Upgrade options for 8" screens without Navigation

Has anyone seen this yet? http://www.navtool.com/chevrolet-cam...ps-system.aspx

Looks legit and would be cool for those of us who didn't/couldn't get navigation with our cars. Also there is the Gen5DIY system: http://www.gen5diy.com/Chevrolet/Cam...grade8-screen/

I'm looking for options that will include the spectrum LEDs in the bezel and have navigation, but still control the PDR. Anyone else accomplish this already?

I have a tough time justifying stuff like that when we have Apply CarPlay and Android Auto in these things.

There were a huge amount of people on the Corvette forums that had problems with navtool, do some research, I don't know if problems continue to exist.

This is what I have in my 2016 Camaro. It works nearly flawlessly as if your vehicle originally came with navigation. Installation is very easy. No new wiring is needed. The only addition to your vehicle would be an antenna that is located under your dash and is plugged into the new module. The only thing you will not get is the speed limit indicator in your DIC. Even though this information comes from the I06 module, your DIC needs special programming to unlock this feature. I only know of 2 places in the country that do this programming. It involves removing your front assembly and mailing it to one of these 2 places to be programmed then re-installing it when you get it back. I understand this will cost approximately $400. If you're comfortable with not having this feature then you will be pleased with this I06 installation.

Yeah since using these and the cars built in WiFi there is no need for a built in Nav system. The WiFi works on both sides of the border too without roaming which kicks serious butt!

The I06 HMI module and GPS antenna are the only hardware needs. You can find them for $500 or less on fleeBay. NavRepair.com offers programming for $124 plus return shipping. Way cheaper than $1K for infotainment site. Just my $0.02. I am currently working on this exact upgrade. HMI will be in my hands today. If my Dealer cannot program it, I will be shipping it to NavRepair.
