New remote start bug...

Searched and couldn't find any posts about this...

This morning I used my remote to start as I was walking out to the car. When driving out of the neighborhood, I noticed the spectrum lighting was not on. I went into the menu and turned it off, back to on, link to drive mode, etc... nada! Couldn't get them to come on! Took a video of it to show my service advisor when I take it in next week for my 2nd oil change.

I also have the issue where sometimes Drive Mode doesn't show up after remote starting.

Anyone else had this occur?

I haven’t had the issue with spectrum lighting, and I have had the issue with drive mode disappearing. I have solved that 100% of the time by selecting unlock, THEN lock, then remote start on my key fob. That seems to wake up the car enough to make sure everything is sequenced properly so that I don’t have any issues with drive mode anymore. Maybe the same thing will work for your spectrum lighting issue

I'll try to remember to do that! I remembered someone posting a "sequence" they used but couldn't remember what it was... hell getting old!

I had an issue a while back where one key fob would show some settings and the other wouldn't. I "reset to factory settings" with the fob that wasn't behaving correctly, configured everything, and now it seems to be ok.

Not new. The "missing menu after remote start" bug has been there the entire time.

Did you read my post? Nothing was missing from the menu... the spectrum lights wouldn't work, but the menu was there. Please show me where that's been posted...

Seriously....anyone experiencing a remote start-related issue should try my "hack" above. Works for me every time...I never have the issue anymore.

I remote started my car. Let it run for 5 mins. Got in it and press the engine start/stop button. The oil warning light stayed on for like 5 seconds. But everything else is ok. Oil pressure is normal. What do you guys think ? My car only has 750 miles on it. Just makes me nervous because it was running for 5 mins.

I remote started it a few times since and it hasn’t come back on.
